Wilderness Boys Welcome Two New Arrivals To Its Board Of Directors for 2026/27
Ahead of our fifth season in the Northern Premier League Division One East, Grimsby Borough FC is delighted to welcome two new additions to its Board of Directors as we continue to strengthen our team off the pitch as well as on it for the 2026/27 campaign and beyond.
With the current boardroom structure of Chairman Jason Flint, Vice Chairman Kev Gittens, Directors Allan McCartney, Luke O’Brien, Lauren Flett, and Danny Bevis, along with Director of Football Dave Smith already in place and providing clear leadership, dedication, and expertise in multiple areas throughout the sporting, business, commercial, and community engagement spectrums, the arrivals of Chris Marshall and Andrew Moorby as Director and Finance Director respectively further solidifies what is a knowledgeable, united hierarchy committed to growing and sustaining the club in every facet.
Chris Marshall
Chris is already a well-known and respected figure throughout the club, having held the positions of Vice-Chairman and CEO during his previous, successful spell at the Technica Home of Boro.
Having taken a well-earned break last season, Chris returns in the role of Director, and will focus on looking after our internal Executive Committee, including both the Ladies and Junior sections, along with continuing our progress on the FA Programme
Now retired, Chris brings a wealth of experience, not only from his time at the club in recent years, but also his professional career as a local businessman, including a spell as Director at DSV Commercials.
Alongside showcasing his desire to form sporting community links over a sustained period of time, Chris has become a key part of the Borough family, regularly seen showing his support on matchdays, and we’re proud to welcome him back into the leadership fold once more, and look forward to again benefitting from his knowledge and guidance moving forward.
Andrew Moorby
We’re equally pleased to welcome Andrew, Managing Director of DH Tuck, a locally based and highly regarded Chartered Certified Accountancy firm, to the Board as Finance Director.
With over 30 years experience in his field, Andrew, a well-known figure in the area who also acts as Treasurer for the Cleethorpes RNLI, brings a range of skills and know-how that will be invaluable when it comes to financial planning and business development and strategy, as well as helping to form a more broadly knowledgeable group behind the scenes.
DH Tuck are long-standing, much-valued partners of the club, and will continue to show their support in the 2026/27 season as Borough’s away shirt sponsors. That continued dedication is hugely appreciated, and goes one step further with Andrew’s addition to the boardroom in what is an exciting development in driving us forward as a collective.
Speaking after joining the Board, Andrew said:
"I'm delighted to be joining the Board at Grimsby Borough. From the outside looking in, it's clear there's plenty of ambition around the club, and I'm excited to get involved. I can't wait to work alongside everyone at Borough to aid and grow the club and hopefully help create something the supporters and local community can be proud of."
The Board will continue to work with key members of the Senior Section Committee, which include club founder Nigel Fanthorpe, long-serving volunteer Dan Holland, and the newly introduced Matty Powell.
We offer Chris and Andrew the warmest of welcomes to Grimsby Borough for the 2026/27 campaign, and look forward to working together to enhance the future of the football club in its entirety.
