Grimsby Borough FC Announces 2025/26 Board of Directors

Grimsby Borough FC Announces 2025/26 Board of Directors

Following last season’s transition to a Limited Company, Grimsby Borough FC is proud to announce the updated Board of Directors for the 2025/26 season. With our first year under the new structure now behind us, we’ve taken time to reflect, refine, and strengthen the leadership at the top of the club.

Our new Board brings together a blend of continuity and new energy retaining experienced hands while welcoming fresh perspectives. The additions of Lauren Flett and Danny Bevis mark an exciting next step, with both already showing clear dedication to the club’s success on and off the pitch. Everyone would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Chris Marshall for his dedication and contributions to the Football Club during his time on the Executive Committee, including his roles as Vice Chairman and most recently as CEO. Chris has made the decision to step away from the board to take some well-deserved time for himself. We’re pleased to share that DSV will remain a loyal sponsor of the club, and we sincerely hope to continue seeing Chris around the ground throughout the season.

Together, this board forms a strong, united leadership team committed to driving the club forward.

A Message from the Club Chairman:

"The First Team has made huge progress in the last 3 years, through the hard work and dedication of a very small group of volunteers who felt Grimsby Borough FC needed a sustainable plan and growth strategy that matched the ambition and efforts of our long serving First Team Manager Daniel Barrett. The club has continued to make progress, with a couple of promotions during his 9yr tenure but we have all felt the overall support network wasn’t aligned with where the Club found themselves – competing within The Northern Premier League (East) and it’s credit to him, the original EC Committee and the very few sponsors who supported this progression.

Last season was full of learning and whilst there are so many positives for the Football Club within its current structure there is always opportunities to learn, change and continue our development plan. I think the subtle changes will make a huge impact and help towards our overall management of the First team, whilst also allowing us more opportunity to work with wider areas within the Club and pull everyone together (in line with our club ethos – ONEBORO). I would like to thank Chris Marshall who has been a key figure within the Club’s latest transition and journey within the last 5 seasons. I am sure Chris will continue to support and consult whilst the new Board continue to shape the future of the club.

I welcome the recent acquisition of Danny Bevis and Lauren Flett onto the Board and I am looking forward to working with both. They both fit into the current culture of the Senior Management Team and are both having a huge impact on our operational processes."
